Meet Our Founder

Kate Wissman, the driving force behind EDvantage Consulting, is passionate about transforming education through advocacy, innovation, and collaboration. As a former special education teacher, she’s worked in schools designing and supporting special education programs, coaching teachers, and partnering with families navigating public, private, and homeschooling. Through that experience, she’s seen how complex these processes can be—and how much stronger they are with the right support in place. EDvantage was founded to bring clarity, structure, and effective support to special education—for both schools and families.
